MISSION SUNDAY - 24TH OCTOBER 2010 - Theme : Together in Mission
The work of the Pontifical Mission Societies, continues to bring the prayers, solidarity and financial help of the Church in Ireland to Christian communities in other parts of the world, especially those in greatest need.

As many as 1096 dioceses in mission territories are heavily dependent upon the Mission Sunday Collection. The money raised is used in its entirety through the Universal Solidarity Fund to the poorest and neediest missions.

APOSTOLIC WORK: Members of Apostolic Work wish to thank you for your generous response to our Honorary Membership envelope collection. The amount raised from the parish totalled £1,135 and €45. HISTORY BOOK - Canon Harry Trimble and Councillor Jim Emery are working on their third book about history events and stories on Castlederg and wider district. They ask clubs, community groups, schools and anyone with older photographs, events and stories they wish to be considered for inclusion to get in touch with them. All material submitted for consideration will be returned
