25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Sunday, 19th September 2010

25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

First Reading: Amos 8: 4-7
Speaking through the prophet Amos, God lists the misdeeds of the people.

Second Reading: 1 Timothy 2: 1-8
St Paul tells the young man Timothy ( to whose care Paul entrusted the Christian community) how to lead the public prayers and to rely on the power of God.

Gospel: Luke 16: 1-13
Jesus praises the dishonest man who realises that his future depends on how he behaves. At the end, it will be our deeds of love that count.
